9 Months!!!

I made it!!! This baby still doesn't have a full name. There's absolutely nothing monogrammed for this baby...oh the horror!!

27 weeks

Well here I am at 27 weeks. I can barely believe it. Almost in my third trimester.

I just LOVE these turquoise maternity jeans from GAP they're so comfortable and just plain awesome!

26 Weeks

So nothing really "important" was going on this week so I thought I'd challenge myself...I'll go ahead and let you know I failed. I thought that I would try and take pictures all this week of my "outfits" and that I would try to wear non maternity clothes this week as an example of making your clothes work...well I didn't make it...I got lazy and simple didn't want to..watch out this might be TMI...shave my legs. Here's what I wore

This is a regular dress from Old Navy. I absolutely LOVE it and I don't think it's because I was able to still fit in to a MEDIUM!!!

Another Old Navy Dress...Old Navy is a great STAPLE for maternity clothes that are not maternity!

I have to admit that even though not much happened this week, I'm so excited for the weekend. My parents are coming in town to help "start" to get Caroline's bedroom together...the bedframe, new chandelier and bedding will all arrive when they do at some point tonight. 

The nursery is starting to take shape as well. My parents are bringing the dresser/changing table that I had painted/lacquered as well as this fabulous lucite side table that will be THE perfect spot for my wine while I spend some good quality hours back in the rocking chair. My Dad will also be hanging the chandelier for the nursery.

Also, on Saturday some painters are coming by to give an estimate about painting Caroline's big girl room. So hopefully they'll be able to get that done before the arrival of her headboard and lacquered dresser.

So there will be lots of room updates to come next week.

Also coming next week is the 4D ultrasound and all the family that is coming in for that...lots of stories to come 

25 Weeks

Well this week has been a milestone. Not a pregnancy one but a milestone in my own adult life...today I mailed in my bar card along with my request for inactive status...It was a little bit more painful than I imagined...I mean that gold card cost me and continues to cost me (and Kyle) quite a pretty penny. Right when the panic attack set in I quickly realized what I was trading it in for...once that realization hit I laughed to myself and thought, Hell they can keep it if they want to...I'm most definitely on to bigger and better things!!!

Gardenias

Our gardenia bushes are blooming and I've got gardenias all over my house. I'm in heaven!!!!

24 weeks and a HUGE announcement

So heres another picture of the bump in my work restroom (I know I know it's getting a little ridiculous). I'm getting rather big and so are the girls (DD)!! Went to the doctor and got weighed and I'm up to about 15 pounds total weight gain but I think I could shave at least 1-2 pounds off that since it was a late afternoon appointment...duh one can use pregnancy math when calculating her weight gain...it's a privilege earned during pregnancy.

So on to the big announcement because the 15 pound weight gain although BIG is not the HUGE announcement. Today I told my boss that I would not be returning to work after the baby is born. I was so nervous and I still am about what the future will hold but I'm really excited for this new phase in my life. I know it will be the absolute HARDEST thing that I'll do in my life but I'm so ready for it. Spending at best 1 1/2 hours with C a night simply wasn't enough. I'm also blessed that I have such an amazing husband that works so hard to make this move to STAY AT HOME MOM possible.

23 Weeks

So I realize that most of my pictures occur in various bathrooms (be it at work or home) but that's where I find the largest mirrors.

This week I had my dreaded glucose testing. Just hate that stuff! Hopefully I won't have to worry about that again.

Here are a few pictures of me in different outfits this week. Obviously I have a thing for green but watch out I've got some turquoise skinny pants/jeans heading my way that I couldn't be more excited about.

I hope that everyone has a fantastic Easter and is careful if they're traveling.

22 weeks

I suppose all bump related pictures will occur in my work bathroom although I hope not

20 weeks...half way there

Thought I'd share a bump picture with you guys. Truth is I got bored at work and picture taking in the bathroom is the next logical step...right?

I know I know...

It's been forever since I've authored a post BUT things have been hectic around here...I'm growing a baby for crying out loud.

I just stopped by to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day and to share a funny C moment that happened this morning....so per her new usual...she got up and walked in to our bedroom around 6:15...tripped over some of Kyle's dress shoes (it's her way of making sure we're all awake) then fell over Vivian (this lets me know to get ready to scoop her up and put her in bed with us...under the cobers of course). She got in bed and asked where Daddy was as usual and I pointed out where Kyle was laying. She smacks around face for a little and then after a bit she says, "Daddy's face is so soft...Mommy's face is not..." and Kyle breaks out laughing...where's the love?

Boo Boo

So C came home with a scratch. Nothing big just a small scratch, but she kept pointing it out...all the time. It was driving me crazy so I thought I'll put a Helli Kitty bandaid on it and solve the problem. This Momma couldn't have been more wrong....

She wouldn't even look at her leg. Of course don't fret the bandaid was quickly removed after this picture was taken.

Sidewalk Chalk...Who knew it could be this much fun?

And let me tell you it's fun. I'll admit that I was hesitant to hand over the red, green and blue chalk pieces. I mean that is one cute smocked fish pant outfit...I didn't really give that much thought to yellow or green as they don't poise as much of a threat to an outfit, in my humble opinion.

Childrens Museum

On Saturday I took Caroline to the children's musuem since we had a girls only weekend. She had a blast despite an older lady looking at her legs and saying, "it looks like someone got double dipped." I was a bit taken aback by this strangers comment. What is the appropriate response...I just smiled and she walked away. Here are some shots

Summer NOT Spring Has Arrived at Our House

I say SUMMER as opposed to SPRING because when it's 90 degrees it's basically summer AND I don't even think that Houston has spring as a season.

So Kyle got home, sun burnt but home nonetheless, from his fishing trip on Sunday, and we pulled out our pool and tent (because C and I are fair) and spent the day outside.

Caroline was clearly in heaven!
